What does it takes to turn out into a feminist?

 

The status of men and women in the society of today is really outstanding both the genders are not only uprising and holding the cause of betterment and developments in the old and traditional thoughts of the old people but are also saying a bold no to the beliefs that have followed and the evil social practices that have drowned the early and uneducated women and girls of our society. The right to equality, right to justice, freedom of speech and various others rights that have been provided to us by the constitution of India remains same for all the genders existing in the society. But still the women of our society are continuously facing the and faithfully following the blind beliefs of the society and on the other hand are deprived of their rights. They are not given the chance to speak they don’t have the right to express their ideas in front of everyone. After all that still the blame goes on to their head. The system will never change until and unless we don’t give it a try. The society wants only its benefit they will definitely stop you but never guide you through the right path it will take time but one has to start. The bold and daring women and the ones standing and fighting for the rights of upcoming generations. The comparison can be lay where re women who  are fighting on the borders for their country some are flying the plains and almost the educated ones are involved in some occupation. But still many are to be educated and many are to be told what rights do they have because if a women is educated she, in turn, is educated for the society and can bring changes in the society.

If we question ourselves that from where do we get the ideas to deprive the girls and women the thoughts flourish in our minds when we start considering men to be the superior and powerful than women then the  thinking that women are inferior immediately comes to our mind. It is nothing but feminism. Feminism is a very simple term which means that women and considered inferior that men the inferior gender is deprived of their rights and their thoughts, their  interests are mercilessly crushed under the feet of the superiors (men). Their partial treatment in the political, social and religious meetings and not discussing about their interests is all what is feminism.

The women of our society are still taught to not be loud and raise their voices in front of men as whatever they say or do is correct. When a girl is born she is taught all the household work how to handle babies in the future and clean the house but even if she is educated she is never empowered to fight for her rights and if she does so then the people are always standing to turn her lame. The parents are more concerned about collecting money for their daughters marriage rather than thinking about what occupation will she get involved in the future? What is the need of studies when after marriage her degree, her mark sheets lie in the corners of the cupboard why do people want educated girls when they can’t afford to see their daughter-in-laws working out and earning their living are they those objects who are to be guided by their husbands at all times they are treated to turn in those women who are transformed into the puppets who  bear all sorts of pain sorrow and misery they are not even treated as women but are held in someone’s hand who don’t care about feelings and crush them whenever and however they want. The hearts of those men never melt when they give pain and  torture their wives merely for dowries if they have brought less than their expectation.

Someone has said it right that even if the parents of the bride sell their house and land to fulfill the demands of the groom’s side still it would be less to them until they themselves sell them for the happiness of the groom. The parents looking at only the materialistic comforts of the house fail to look at the interiors which are formed by the bricks and stones of warmth and compassion in relations they only see the materialistic pleasures  so that their daughter do not bear any discomfort in the standard of living and in turn do not bear any pain. The high level of thinking and commitment stands nowhere in front of these demands but raising ones voice and saying a bold no towards these practices should be a part of womens life where she herself should stop and say a bold no to these cultures which are guiding them unknowingly.

The power to stand beyond them and celebrate the rights of both men and women without depriving them of their interests the power to choose their interests and giving a free lifestyle to both.

 Feminism is not only described as giving the power and privileges to the women of the society but it is the celebration of the rights and equality for both the genders. The unprivileged society are the ones who are deprived of their rights the most. They are not treated with the equality that they should be treated but they are always and by everyone deprived and taken away the rights that they deserve the most.

Once when Kailash Satyarthi, the noble prize winner fighting for the dreams of poor and deserving children on his way to Columbia near the highways saw a boy in a state of poverty but with a smile on his face which showed the flash of ambitions in his eyes he went close to the boy and asked him want he wanted to become the boy’s mother suddenly put her hand on her mouth stopped him from speaking anything. This act made him ask to the women that why she stopped him from speaking the mother answered that in front of the rights and powers of the riches they don’t have a dream to dream. This answer shocked Kailash Satyarthi which he spoke in his speech that the riches are trained from their childhood to think about their future and upcoming life but there are the few who have the fear to dream that they cannot afford to think of something more than a labour or unskilled worker because they can’t afford to think so far. The fear of not dreaming is the fear which stops them from growing and moving beyond the limits.
